Capybara Mania
A playful exploration of the capybara, where I turned my research and observations into a series of creative outcomes, from branding and 3D modelling to animation and a poster that unfolds into a zine.
Research
To better understand the different aspects of a capybara, I first researched on some of its unique traits and interesting facts.
Media 1: Graphic Symbol & Textures
I tested variations with the symbols and textures before arriving at my final version.
Media 2: 3D model
We were tasked to turn the chosen animal into a 3D model. I played around with different materials and decided to select plywood for my final version.
Media 3: Storyboard & Animation
Storyboard Exploration
I came up with 3 storyboard concepts and roughly planned out the key activities in each of them.
Animation Creation
I selected my final concept and started storyboarding the entire journey and started working on the animations.
Piecing It Together
After creating the individual scenes, I pieced them all together on Premiere Pro, adding audio to enhance the narrative.
Final Video
After all is done, I am happy to present "Don't Worry, Be Cappy!".
Media 4: Zine & Poster
Last but not least, our task was to design a zine that turned into a poster. I did some brainstorming and stylistic research to inform my final product.
