BRANDING

Dreaming Wild

Hope for a Wilder Tomorrow

Dreaming Wild is a rebranding project focused on turning Australia Wildlife Conservancy’s why and how into a meaningful visual identity, from initial research and brand strategy to brandmark development and real-world brand mockups.

Research & Direction

I started by looking into the Australian Wildlife Conservancy’s work, existing identity and other conservation brands, including Bush Heritage Australia.

From there, I focused on humility, stewardship, science and biodiversity. I wanted the identity to feel hopeful and show how people are connected to nature and can be part of positive change.

Brand Exploration

I explored names, taglines and symbols before developing three concepts.

Dreaming Wild became the direction I chose to develop, bringing together wildlife, people and hope for the future.

Final Branding

The final mark combines a Gouldian Finch with a human profile, reflecting the connection between people and nature.

Colours inspired by the bird’s feathers bring warmth and variety, balanced with serif lettering and a simple tagline.

Out In The Wild

I applied the identity and branding to fieldwork equipment, uniforms, vehicles and digital content, exploring how it could stay consistent across different settings.

Reflection

This was my first full branding project. In the early stages, my ideas tried to fit in too many meanings, so learning what to leave out became a big part of the process.
